A few small habits keep your pieces looking new for years.
Made to wear every day
Our pieces are stainless steel with 14k gold plating applied using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD). It's a vacuum coating process that creates a stronger bond and a thicker layer than traditional plating, so it's more durable and doesn't need a clear coat.
Our jewelry can be confidently worn in water. That said, all gold-plated jewelry can lose its colour over time. A little care keeps your pieces looking new for years.
Everyday care
- Take it off for long showers and swims when you can.
- Keep it away from perfume, body sprays, creams and lotions. Put your jewelry on after you've applied them.
- Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.
- Store pieces separately in their pouch so they don't scratch or tangle.
Archive pieces: some Archive pieces are sterling silver with standard plating, so they need a little more care. Keep them dry and away from creams and sprays.
Freshwater pearls
Follow the rule of "last on, first off": put pearls on last when getting ready and take them off first. This keeps them away from perfume, makeup and scratches.
- Remove pearls before applying lotions or sprays.
- To clean, gently wipe each pearl with a soft, damp cloth, then let the strand dry completely so the thread stays strong.
- Store pearls in the bag they came in, away from your other jewelry.
Switch pieces
When changing Switch fronts or charms, work over a soft surface and press pieces together gently. Store spare fronts and charms in their pouch so the small parts stay together.
